Maybe it's just hard to see on a phone, but is it deeply confused because the super tall taillights are from a Cadillac? I guess I've never bothered to pay attention to the rear that much.

Yes, it appears to have taillights from a newer gen Cadillac Escalade that shouldn't be compatible with the Tahoe.
